Native Model Studio formed in 2003 out of Kayenta, Arizona, founded by Larry Price and Brandi Jade. Native Model Studio expanded into Canada operated by Lisa Muswagon in Winnipeg, MB in 2006. ‘Native’ meaning your place of origin, ‘Model’, setting an example to your peers and being a role model, model to your creative talent, ‘Studio’ is where the art takes place.
Native Model Studio USA|Canada conducts model searches, offers model training and facilitates model and photography workshops with photographers. Native Model Studio organizes events with components of music and fashion from First Nation, Metis & Inuit Artists. We achieve this through our networks and contact database, which developed through the years. Our contacts consist of talented Photographers, Models, Artists, Fashion Designers with an aim to collaborate and showcase talent at an International level.
Our Mission
Our mission is to empower aspiring models, provide support and create experiences through Model Workshops and Photography. We believe by providing model training workshops we are creating and promoting an outlet for confidence, self-esteem and to learn about the industry. Our vision is to assist youth in developing their dreams, inspire cultural component while boosting confidence, self esteem and authenticity amongst our Aboriginal People. Not only our workshops cover modeling, we also discuss areas on professional development, healthy eating, self-acceptance, self-love, healthy relationships with others and bullying.
Native Model Studio workshops are instructed and facilitated by individuals who carry years of studies, knowledge and experience in the industry. The model workshops is filled with informative knowledge to help introduce the basics of modeling and photography at the same time giving the experience of what it takes to be a model. Building confidence and self-esteem through photography, the workshop encourages the empowerment of our Youth to make positive choices, lead a healthy lifestyle while taking the first steps to learn an avenue they perhaps only dreamed of. Native Model Studio takes great pride in the service they provides and experience along with showcasing the many skills and talents that promotes Native Fashion, Lifestyle and Entertainment.
